研討會主題為：The Growing Pushback Against Harmful AI
- Ruha Benjamin (Associate Professor of African American Studies, Princeton University): Award winning academic, author and founder of the JUST DATA Lab, Ruha Benjamin has been a critical voice interrogating the relationship between innovation and inequity. Her recent books “Race After Technology” and “Captivating Technology” investigate how carceral logics shape social life well beyond prisons and police.
- Veena Dubal (Professor of Law, UC Hastings College of the Law): Professor of Law Veena Dubal's critical research interrogates the role of the law in the lives of precarious workers in the so-called "sharing economy".
- Jennifer Lord (Partner, Pitt, McGehee, Palmers and Rivers): As lead counsel on a class-action lawsuit involving more than 40,000 Michigan unemployment claimants, Jennifer has been on the front lines of raising alarms around the use of automated decision systems in the provision of welfare benefits.
